Promova Launches a Massive Brand Campaign to Encourage 1.5 Billion Language Learners to Start Speaking Anyway

The campaign launches ahead of Oleksandr Usyk's upcoming fight with Ricardo "Rico" Verhoeven in Giza, Egypt, aiming to inspire everyone learning a new language to stop waiting for the perfect moment, overcome fear of mistakes, and just start speaking.
Kyiv / Global, Spring 2025 — An analysis of 10,143 App Store reviews shows that fear of speaking are among the most frequently mentioned challenges for language learners.
This spring, Promova, an innovative language learning platform built for today's learners, launches the "Say It Anyway" Promova brand campaign — a powerful brand manifesto for everyone feeling stuck speaking a foreign language, endorsed by three-time undisputed world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk.
For Usyk, learning English is not separate from his career, but it's part of how he builds it. Every press conference and interview is practice: he doesn't wait to sound fluent, but he speaks to get there.
"Being able to understand and speak a foreign language — English specifically — allowed me to connect more with friends, athletes, and fellow boxers. I began to understand people who were my childhood idols, people I used to watch on TV wondering what they were saying," Oleksandr Usyk shared. "People like Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, or Cristiano Ronaldo — everyone wants to talk to or take a photo with these greats. We are friends now, and we understand each other."
Phrases like "I am feel. I am very feel," "Don't push the horses," and "I don't speak English. I speak boxing" have accumulated 55.9M+ mentions on TikTok — turning him into a global meme, and a global brand.
"The philosophy behind the campaign is simple: you don't wait to feel confident in a foreign language — you speak to become confident. The same way you don't wait to be in shape before you start training. You show up imperfect, and you improve," said Andrew Will Skrypnyk, CEO and founder of Promova. "This is the philosophy behind the app — and the data backs it up: 81% of users say they no longer feel afraid of making mistakes in conversation after using Promova, and 80% say they feel less nervous when learning a language."
The campaign features five relatable situations every non-native speaker knows well: running out of words, not fully understanding, being too shy to ask for clarification, staying silent because of an accent, and more. Usyk's role is to show learners that communicating in any way possible is the path to both confidence and mastery.
The campaign goes live across YouTube and Meta in April and May — right before the fight, where Usyk will defend his belts, and where his English will shine more than ever.
The “Say It Anyway” campaign represents the next step in the development of a yearly partnership between Promova and Oleksandr Usyk. Earlier this year, the company announced that Oleksandr joined Promova as Chief Discipline Officer to promote discipline over temporary motivation for measurable results.
